Sixth Grade
Homeroom Teacher: Mrs. Deborah Dikeman
Welcome to the 6th grade classroom. This is a classroom where learning is a priority. Every grade is important, however, 6th grade is the transition grade from elementary to junior high; therefore academic excellence continues while the student demonstrates his ability to use good study skills. Part of the learning is to be sure that the learning is done correctly. More is expected as the students now demonstrate grammatical and mathematical skills in more challenging work. Reading skills are now employed to understand Shakespeare and other great writers. The students work independently as well as in group efforts; learning how to accomplish the desired outcome on their own or in tandem with others. All education is built on the foundation of God’s Word which gives learning its heart and soul.
