Anniversary Theme null

Under the theme, "Our Hope for Years to Come," Hope Ev. Lutheran Church, St. Louis, Missouri, joyously celebrates its 100th Anniversary in 2016. Not only does our theme highlight the name of our congregation - Hope - but it also anchors our hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only has He blessed us with 100 years of receiving and proclaiming His grace, mercy, and forgiveness, but it also draws our attention to the future. Our Lord Jesus is "our hope for years to come."

This theme comes from the first verse of the hymn "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" (LSB 733). In the first line - "O God, our help in ages past" - we acknowledge God's blessing and help in years past, but then we also sing in confident trust that He also remains "our hope for years to come" (LSB 733:1).

We are grateful to Tim Bergmann of "Bergmann Graphics" in Portland, OR, for his very fine work in designing our colored anniversary logo (above right) as well as the blackline graphics to accenuate our theme.
