Welcome from Principal Dikeman

Welcome to Hope Lutheran School! We are a small classical Lutheran school in the south side of the city of St. Louis. We are blessed with a congregation bold enough to support a school so that as children grow in God’s grace they become well-educated, developing skills and knowledge to serve God wherever they go in life. Our families wisely appreciate the value of Christian education. Students are taught using time-tested materials and methods, presenting what is true, right and beautiful. We strive for excellence in all that we do.

Hope Lutheran School offers a stable, quality education with an outstanding faculty. Over two thirds of our faculty have earned Masters degrees. Many of our teachers have served at Hope for several years, demonstrating their commitment to our school and program.

Through high quality lessons taught by skilled teachers, our students are taught to be good listeners, thoughtful thinkers and persuasive and effective communicators. Students are taught in a manner that reflects the natural development of children, which is known as the Trivium.  We acknowledge that parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. So we view our job as assisting parents who want to give their children a high-quality education. We strive to have students become life-long learners, always curious and capable of learning more.
